Common questions
How accurate is it?
It learns from your own use, so the first day is a rough guess (shown with a "~" and "Learning your usage"). After a few days of normal wear it knows your nights, your busy hours and your weekends. A new watch face, a workout or a long call changes the pace; WatchRange notices within hours.
Why doesn't it show the exact percentage?
watchOS gives apps the battery level in 5% steps. In the app, WatchRange estimates where you are within that step (shown as "~83%"). Complications show time instead of a percentage, so they never disagree with Apple's own battery complication.
A complication looks out of date
watchOS decides when complications refresh. WatchRange's complications count down on their own and refresh every 15 to 60 minutes, more often when the battery is low or charging. Opening the app refreshes them immediately.
It's charging: why does the complication show less time than "full"?
While charging, complications show how long the current charge would last if you unplugged now, so they're right the moment you do. The app shows when it'll be full; with WatchRange+, the forecast also compares unplugging now with charging to full.
Does WatchRange use much battery?
No. It takes a few light readings an hour and does nothing in between.
Do I need an iPhone app?
No. WatchRange runs entirely on Apple Watch.
Siri doesn't understand me
Include the app's name. The shortest is "Check WatchRange"; "How long will my watch last in WatchRange?" works too.
Restoring WatchRange+
Open WatchRange, tap the i button in the top corner, then Restore Purchases. WatchRange+ is a one-time purchase that stays with your Apple Account, and works with Family Sharing.
