Privacy Policy

WatchRange collects no personal data. Everything it learns about your battery stays on your Apple Watch. There's no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and the app never sends anything over the internet.

What the app stores, and where

To estimate how long your battery will last, WatchRange reads your watch's battery level, whether it's charging and whether Low Power Mode is on, a few times an hour. It keeps these readings, with their times, for up to 30 days, in storage that belongs to the app on your watch. From them it works out your usual pace and when you usually charge.

This data never leaves your watch: we can't see it, and it isn't uploaded anywhere. Deleting WatchRange from your watch deletes it.

The app also stores your choices, such as dial style and colour theme, on your watch.

What we collect

Nothing. WatchRange has no servers, no analytics or crash-reporting services, no advertising and no third-party code that collects data. It doesn't use your location, health data, contacts or any other personal information.

Purchases

WatchRange+ is an optional in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details or your Apple Account. The app checks Apple's signed record of your purchase on your watch to unlock WatchRange+. Apple's handling of purchases is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Siri and Shortcuts

If you ask Siri how long your watch will last, the answer is worked out on your watch from the same on-device data. Apple processes your voice request under its own privacy policy; WatchRange receives no recording or transcript.

This website

watchrange.app sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. It's served by our hosting provider, which may briefly process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

Email

If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply to you, and don't share them with anyone.

Children

WatchRange collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it on this page with a new effective date. Because WatchRange collects no data, any change can only describe new features, never a new use of your data without notice.
